Hello my friends! I hope that December finds you well!
Things have been pretty hectic around here. I've been in search of the perfect vegan Christmas cookie recipe, making holiday cards and shopping for studios this week. I'm hoping to decide on a studio by the end of the month! I shall keep you posted for sure!

Those things aside, this week I had the absolute pleasure of performing at the Iron Horse with my girls, The Woman Songwriter Collective. For those of you who don't know, I have been a part of this group for about two years now. We are five individual songwriters who come together to perform in the round, share resources and promote female empowerment. The group consists of the alternative goddess Carolyn Walker, country-folk sweetheart Christa Joy, bluesy badass Lisa Marie Ellingsen and junkyard rock rebel Wishbone Zoe!

About a year ago, we had the absolutely honor of receiving the prestigious Iguana Music grant from Club Passim, which we used to record an E.P of five songs. We recorded the album mostly live and all in one day. It was a lot of work but we are so so proud of the finished product. On the E.P, is one song written by each member of the group, which we all perform on. The album will be up on band camp later this week! Click here in a few days to hear it!

The release show itself was pure magic. All of our friends, fan and family packed the Iron Horse and made for a very attentive and fun audience. We played all of the songs off of the E.P, some old favorites, new songs and even a few surprise covers.

Wishbone Zoe debuted a new song called "Pulmona Lisa," which had some pretty sick time changes and a yelling interlude. Lisa also debuted a spooky new song called "Living Proof" which the ladies added some very cool harmonies on! Carolyn lead us in a beautiful version of Cindy Lauper's "Time After Time".  Miss Walker will be releasing her new album at the Iron Horse as well on January 15th! Christa performed an absolutely haunting version of her song "Red River Flood," which you can hear on her new album here.
There were a few articles written about the album a few weeks before the release which you can check out below:

These women have become like family to me and I am truly lucky to get to share the stage with them.
Shout-out to Josh Allen of We Are One Photographic for taking these!
