This week has been a very magical one.
On Saturday, my band and I performed at the Art's Block in Greenfield, which is a very wonderful performance venue here in the Pioneer Valley.
We has the absolute privilege of sharing the stage with Juke Joint Jazz and absolutely BRILLIANT jazz band. While we sipped on delicious whiskey, we were overjoyed to hear such classics as "Day In The Life Of A Fool," "Watermelon Man", and so many others! I even got to join the band for a song!
It was such a pleasure to listen to them. I encourage you all to check them out at the Iron Horse on March 20th!
Juke Joint jazz consists of Jason Schwartz on bass, Ken Forfia on piano, Chet Pasek on drums, David Kisala on sax and Michael Levine guitar.
My boys absolutely killed it. Jeff got a new electric upright bass THE DAY OF THE SHOW and took her out for a spin, resulting in a very cool sound. I got to play the Art's Block's GORGEOUS piano, which was pure magic, although playing and sitting down is always strange for me! My butt gets mad sweaty. It was such a great show, and an awesome way to kick off 2015!
Josh Allen got some awesome pictures. Check em out!
In two weeks, I will be heading into the studio to record a 45, due to be released in the summer! I will be cutting to tape at Northfire Studios, on one of their beautiful machines, on February 1st and I can't began to express how stoked I am. As for the tunes I'm going to record, You'll have to wait and see!
